WebbThe geologic time scale is divided into several magnitudes of units of time: [1] Eons, or Eonothems, are the largest division of time, lasting thousands of millions of years. There eons are: the Phanerozoic (current eon) and the Precambrian eons of the Proterozoic, Archean, and Hadean. Eras, or Erathems, are the subdivisions of eons.

I am having a problem with the smallest unit of time which Arduino 2560 can be measured and return. I have used White LED to transmit data and Photodiode to recieve these data. Webb$\begingroup$ My interpretation of the Planck Time is that it's the smallest meaningful unit of time. Time itself is continuous, i.e. intervals shorter than the Planck Time exist. But these shorter intervals are trivial, so time may as well be discrete. Additionally, if time is discrete then distance as well must be discrete.
Webb26 maj 2024 · The geologic time scale is a means of measuring time based on layers of rock that formed during specific times in Earth’s history and the fossils present in each layer. The main units of the geologic time scale, from largest (longest) to smallest, are: eon, era, period, epoch and age. Each corresponds to the time in which a particular layer ...
