WebOne of the best-known drugs as vagolytic is atropine, it antagonizes the action of acetylcholine on muscarinic receptors. Therefore, it blocks the effect of the vagus nerve in the atrioventricular and atrioventricular nodes, increases the frequency of the sinus node and facilitates conduction of the atrioventricular node.
